Hi, my name is Becky Rost. I grew up in Wyoming and moved to South Dakota while attending UW. I currently live in Spearfish and I commute about ten miles everyday to teach in the small rural town of Whitewood. I have been teaching regular education for twenty-two years. My first two years were in Progress School located near the teeny town of Meadow, SD. Throughout my two years there, I taught a combination of grades 1st-4th and 3rd-5th. I then moved to Spearfish and have been teaching in Whitewood ever since. I started out teaching third grade (2 years), then a combination of 3rd-4th (1 year), and then moved up to fourth grade (14 years). In 2006, I switched positions and was a General Educator where I team-taught with other teachers in my building, and three afternoons a week I also taught Extended-Day Kindergarten. I am currently teaching 2nd grade.
